After the Boston Celtics let Kelly Olynyk hit the free agent market, the former Gonzaga forward decided to take his talents to South Beach—to the tune of $50 million dollars.
Olynyk signed a four-year deal with the Heat after averaging nine points and 4.8 rebounds per game. He was a the unlikeliest of crucial pieces for the Celtics this season, leading Boston with a stellar Game 7 performance against the Washington Wizards.
He was understandable excited about the move.

After a fantastic career at Gonzaga, Olynyk has fashioned himself a serviceable career as the first big man off the bench. In four seasons in the NBA, Olynyk has averaged 9.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 20.7 minutes.
He has been able to make a name for himself with his long distance range, and Olynyk has gotten better at the defensive end (albeit, sometimes a bit roughly). He figures to see decent minutes as the backup center to Udonis Haslem and his occasional front court buddy as a potential power forward.
