The other day, we wrote about how Syracuse Orange coach Jim Boeheim could possibly join the Gonzaga family, in a rather round about way, thanks to his son Buddy Boeheim. The Zags extended an offer to the guard, after his stellar play in the EYBL Peach Jam.
If that news excited you, then I am sorry to ruin your Friday.
Buddy Boeheim never dreamed it possible, and neither did Jim. But the pair now set to become next father-son duo: https://t.co/CbNgzWTogu

Technically, it isn’t official yet. But Buddy also says he is waiting for the AAU season to be over before he makes his “decision.” Although Buddy’s older brother is playing for Cornell, it seemed a rather long shot that he would jump ship from the east coast, especially after his dad was caught saying he would like to coach until the sun burns out.
But considering the Zags will have Jesse Wade, Corey Kispert, Joel Ayayi and Zach Norvell in the backcourt in 2018, with Anton Watson and Brock Ravet arriving in 2019, this isn’t one of those swing and misses to be upset about.
This has been your Friday news dump.
