Fan favorite Przemek Karnowski will take the floor for the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA Summer League. The Orlando Summer League takes place from 1-6 July and will also feature the Oklahoma City Thunder. Domas Sabonis is scheduled to be on the Thunder’s Summer squad and may get a chance to go head to head with Shem when the Thunder play the Hornets on July 4 at 1:00 p.m. (EDT).
Jordan Mathews has earned an invite on the New Orleans Pelicans Las Vegas Summer League squad. The Las Vegas Summer League takes place from 7-11 July. In a telephone interview with Spokane’s KREM 2 news, Mathews said he received some valuable advice from former Zag Kyle Wiltjer on approaching the games. Wiltjer told him to “To believe you are the best shooter out there, Just being able to knock down shots went a long way for him." Wiltjer will be a member of the Rockets squad in Las Vegas, but they are not playing the Pelicans.
Zach Collins and the Portland Trail Blazers will face Nigel Williams-Goss and the Utah Jazz in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 8 at 6:00 p.m. (EDT). The game is scheduled to be televised on ESPNU.
According to KREM 2 in Spokane, Ryan Edwards has reconsidered his decision to give up his final year of eligibility and will transfer to and play for Portland State next season. Portland State is in the Big Sky Conference and those of us in the Spokane area will get a chance to see Ryan play against Eastern Washington in Cheney next season. Tonight, Edwards posted this picture on his Twitter.
