After heading to the national championship last season, the Zags are offering up a slate of games that will leave many of us drooling. Creighton will join an already loaded non-conference schedule, which includes Villanova (at Madison Square Garden), the Phil Knight Invitational, and at San Diego State.
Scheduling Creighton is a sensible match for the Zags. After a couple years away from the NCAA Tournament, the Bluejays were back in the thick of it last season, finishing the season ranked No. 28 by Ken Pomeroy.
The Zags still have a few more slots to fill on the non-conference schedule. It seems likely that those games will feature smaller schools, as much of the heavy hitting appears to be filled. Although, don’t rule out another Pac-12 opponent. The Zags only have one on the schedule this year: the University of Washington.
