David Singleton, one of the priority 2018 targets for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, has just announced he will be attending UCLA.

Singleton is a four-star guard out of Bishop Montgomery in Torrence, California. He was ranked No. 71 in the class of 2018 by 247 Sports, and is considered the ninth best player coming out of California (at the moment).
The Zags have spent quite a bit of time on his recruiting trail, offering him a scholarship way back in August of 2016. It isn’t much of a surprise they lost out on Singleton, however. Virtually the entire Pac 12 has been hot on the trail, and the re-emergence of UCLA as a national program was going to be hard to go up against.
All that means, onto the next player. There are still a lot of targets the Zags have had their eyes on in 2018, and the departures of Bryan Alberts, Zach Collins, and Nigel Williams-Goss leave the Zags a lot of wiggle room when it comes to scholarships. Currently, the Zags only have seven players on scholarship for the 2018-19 season.
