The perks of other teams losing...

NCAA Basketball: West Coast Conference Tournament-Gonzaga vs Saint Mary's Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are up to No. 2 in the latest AP Poll top 25 rankings, released on Monday.

Thanks to basically every other team losing because of their conference tournaments, the Zags hopped up a couple of spots, falling quite a bit short of Villanova, who are now the new No. 1 team in the nation.

Gonzaga received six first-place votes in the process, and finishes the regular season as the top team on the west coast.

The AP poll is hardly important anymore, especially after the seeding was released on Sunday, but it is always nice to see the Zags get the recognition they deserve.

Here is the full top 25.
