NCAA Womens Basketball: West Coast Conference Tournament-Gonzaga vs Saint Mary's Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

With the men’s bracket revealed last night during the CBS Selection Show, it is the women’s turn to have their fun. The 64 teams headed to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament will be unveiled this evening on ESPN.

After cutting down the nets at the WCC Tournament in Las Vegas, Gonzaga will play in the women’s tournament for the 9th time in program history. The Gonzaga women’s basketball team won the WCC regular and postseason titles en route to a 26-6 record. The team’s most notable win came on the road against a ranked Stanford Cardinal who went on to win the Pac-12 Tournament.

The equivalent of Joe Lunardi for the women’s bracket, Charlie Creme, posted his bracketology from last night which shows Gonzaga as an 11-seed with a nice opening game against Syracuse in Seattle. According to Creme’s projection, the winner of that game will likely see 3rd-ranked Washington and the NCAA’s newly minted all-time leading scorer Kelsey Plum.

As always seems to be the case, the UConn Huskies will be named the #1 overall seed in the tournament and are be the easy favorites to win an incredible fifth straight NCAA title. The Huskies are currently on a 107-game winning streak (not a typo), and have not lost a game since November 17, 2014 which just boggles the mind.
