We might as well get one of these posts scheduled every other day, because the praise for Nigel Williams-Goss keeps rolling in. The Gonzaga guard was named to the 2017 Naismith Top3 list on Thursday, Feb. 9.
Williams-Goss is in the running for the Bob Cousy Award, and also made the cut for the Wooden Award late season. All three are stellar awards, and the Naismith and Wooden Awards tend to be viewed as the cream of the crop.
The junior guard is averaging 15.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He is also ranked No. 6 in the Ken Pomeroy Player of the Year standings, an honor that gives nothing for the mantle, but shows he is statistically up there with the best of the best in the nation.
