The Guys Hold Their Hero-Worship in Check (Barely)

NCAA Basketball: Gonzaga at St. Mary's
The Huge Piece Abides
Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

We’re not gonna lie to you, dear FIBbers. There wasn't a ton to discuss on the latest installment of Free Ira Brown. Sure, we could discuss Nigel’s excellent weekend that garnered him his fourth WCC Player of the Week award. We could also go over both the men and women clinching at least a share of the WCC regular season title. We could, if pushed, even talk about the Pacific game.

And rest assured, we do all of these things.

But, given the dearth of actual quality content, our heroes decided to go bigger. How much bigger, you ask? We bring in none other than the Dan, the myth, the legend, Mr. Dan Dickau. No, really, Dan Dickau is on the pod. Yes, that Dan Dickau. No, we’re not joking.

The Gonzaga legend and broadcaster joins the FIB crew to discuss this team’s remarkable run, Mark Few’s evolution as a coach, Dickau’s ping pong skills and Greg Heister’s Dickau fandom.

Those stories, plus we have a preview of San Diego, a Tale of the Tape with the team with the best fans in the WCC and we end with a Top 3 with that has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

All this and more in the latest episode of Free Ira Brown, THE Gonzaga Hoops Podcast. Come join us for Dan Dickau!
