College Basketball Rankings: Zags stay at No. 1

Continually winning has its benefits.

NCAA Basketball: Gonzaga at St. Mary's Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the No. 1 team in the nation for the third-straight week, after the latest AP poll was released on Monday.

Gonzaga held off the competition thanks to a nice and tidy 30-point win at LMU on Thursday, and a 10-point win on the road in Moraga on Saturday.

The top 10 saw plenty of movement, with Baylor dropping down a few spots. The Pac 12 is a blockade, with Arizona, UCLA, and Oregon all running in order at Nos. 4-6. Saint Mary’s dropped down to No. 22 following their loss, which you can’t blame them too much for. We are the No. 1 team after all.

The Zags got one more first place vote, but are still five short. The Zags are pretty definitively locked in at the top spot, however. According to College Poll Tracker, the five voters not voting the Zags No. 1 have them all the way down at No. 2.
