The Gonzaga Bulldogs now own the second-best odds to win the NCAA Championship, courtesy of Bovada, released on Feb. 1, 2017.
Gonzaga has improved quite a bit from their 20/1 showing on Jan. 6. Now, the Zags stand at 15/2, behind only Kentucky at 11/2.
The run to the top of the table and the top of most metrics and rankings has helped elevate the Zags in the eyes of the oddsmakers now. However, the rather tight showing at the top also demonstrates how up in the air all of this predicting of the madness will be. The Zags are just barely ahead of Kansas, North Carolina, and UCLA.
Then again, it has been a slow and steady climb for the Zags. The Zags opened the season at 65/1 odds to win the entire thing, and if you placed the bet at that time—you’d be a rather lucky and slightly more rich person.
