College basketball rankings: Violent earthquake in the AP top 25

The Zags remain at No. 12.

NCAA Basketball: Gonzaga at Washington Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The AP top 25 had a shaking like no other, as most every single team made some rather drastic moves. Most every single team, because Gonzaga remained at No. 12.

The committee did not dock the Zags too many points for losing to the now No. 1 Villanova Wildcats. Duke, the previous No. 1, dropped to No. 4. Kansas, coming off of back-to-back losses, dropped all the way down to No. 13. Florida nearly cratered out, dropping from No. 5 to No. 22.

Arizona State continued its meteoric rise up the rankings, jumping from No. 15 to No. 5, and even garnering some first place votes in the process. Michigan State moved up one spot to No. 2 and Wichita State jumped up to No. 3 to round out the top five.

Here is the full AP poll.
