Friday is usually reserved for high school football, but unfortunately for those local Spokane schools, the hot ticket is the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Creighton Bluejays at 7:00 pm.
This is the ninth all-time meeting between the two schools, although it is the first time the Bluejays have ever travelled this far down I-90. The two jesuit schools haven’t met since 1977. This is the first of two consecutive games against the Big East, which bodes well for Gonzaga. The Zags are 11-3 against current Big East members since Mark Few took over.
This is going to be a battle of offense against defense (theoretically most basketball games are). Creighton is one of the better shooting teams in the nation, and Gonzaga hasn’t let an opponent shoot above 50 percent from the floor since approximately the dawn of time.
