2018 Gonzaga target Will Richardson announced he will be attending Oregon, on Thursday.

The four-star guard from Georgia had been favored for quite some time to choose Oregon by the recruiting site 247sports.com.

Richardson announced in mid-October he had narrowed his list of schools down to Oregon, Georgia, and Gonzaga. It seemed like quite the odd mix, until you realize that Richardson hails from Georgia, hence the SEC school in the mix. He visited Oregon at the end of September and Gonzaga on Oct. 13, but the Oregon push had always been the strongest from the get go.

Richardson is rated as the No. 47 player in the country for the class of 2018. Although he would’ve been a stellar addition, the Bulldogs won’t be hurting too much by his loss. Next season, the Zags will have Josh Perkins senior year campaign, and French speed demon Joel Ayayi will be available to contribute.
