2017 Recruiting: Gonzaga women's team lands four-star Louise Forsyth

The Lady Zags headed up to Canada for their latest big recruit.

The Gonzaga women's team is going international after landing four-star 2017 recruit Louise Forsyth.

As you can imagine, with as little women’s basketball coverage that exists, there is quite a bit less for women’s high school basketball players. But what we can figure out is this: Louise Forsyth is really good.

She was first-team 2016 AAA All-Star this past season. She helped lead her Brooksword Bobcats to their third-straight AAA championship game by scoring 27 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Forsyth, who hails from Langley, BC, was also a member of the 2016 U17 Women’s National Team, which also happened to defeat Brazil, 72-71, to give Team Canada its first-ever FIBA Americas age-group championship.

ESPN ranks Forsyth as the No. 57 player in the class of 2017. It is an early and deadly score for the women’s team. As of right now, only 13 of the top 60 players have committed to a school.
