Przemek Karnowski to return for another season

NCAA Basketball: Battle 4 Atlantis-Connecticut vs Gonzaga Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Przemek Karnowski has announced he will return to Gonzaga for his final season of eligibility.

This is obviously a big deal. The Zags front court took a huge hit when Domantas Sabonis declared for the draft. Although Zach Collins is rolling in as a highly rated recruit, there were question marks surrounding the health of Killian Tillie and Jacob Larsen.

Throw in the fact that Ryan Edwards hasn't quite demonstrated that he is capable of playing 20 minutes per game quite yet, and the Zags frontcourt was potentially thin.

No longer...perhaps. No one is quite sure how Karnowski will look next season, and it will be a guessing game to see how his rehabilitation has gone. Frankly, guys as big as him tend to take a bit longer to get over serious back injuries, that is just the way the human body works.

Still, this is not only fantastic news for the program, but also for Karnowski as well. If he is able to come back healthy and ready to play, he will have a great opportunity to demonstrate why he belongs in the NBA.
