The West Coast Conference has announced a three-year extension to keep the WCC Tournament at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas through 2019, the conference announced on Thursday.

Prior to moving the tournament to Las Vegas, the WCC would rotate tournament hosting rights around the schools in the conference. Although it was fun to go and watch Gonzaga play at all the little arenas up and down the California coast, moving the tournament to Las Vegas has allowed the exposure of the tournament expand.

As part of the new agreement, The Orleans has agreed to make upgrades to the arena, specifically a new center-hung high-definition video board.

"I am very excited the West Coast Conference and Orleans Arena will be continuing our partnership through the 2019 championships," said WCC Commissioner Lynn Holzman. "Our vision is to create an event which serves as a celebration of the West Coast Conference, its traditions and values while our student-athletes are on a national stage competing for a berth in the NCAA Championship."

It has also been a great location for the Zags to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. Since moving the tournament to the Orleans Arena, the Zags have won six of the past eight WCC Tournaments, as well as the last four-straight.
