Free Ira Brown Hands Out Some Season Awards and Dares to Dream of Things to Come

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

It's that time of the season again, dear FIBbers. The gym's closed down, the Kennel stands pushed back. The scoreboard has been unplugged, the Heisterisms boxed up and put in storage. We here at Free Ira Brown have turned in our final assignment of the season...in the form, of course, of our final episode of the season (Season 2, Episode 25). As our heroes sum up the 2015-16 season, we take a look back at the most dramatic of NCAA Tournament finals and what we would do if Gonzaga won in such a dramatic way.
Those stories, plus we hand out the most coveted award in college basketball (the Free Ira Brown Season MVP, naturally), we examine the WCC coaching hokey-pokey (you put an old player here, you put a biggish name there, another old player here, and USF's without a coach...) and check in with the Gonzaga women.
We also turn our attention toward the 2016-17 season (a note: the pod was recorded before news broke of Sabonis heading to the NBA draft). It's hard not to get excited with such a stud recruiting class coming in and the quality of our eligible transfers (a McDonald's All-American in each? Yes, please.). Can you imagine if Karnowski comes back....please? Pretty please?
And finally, before we shut it down for the spring/summer, we take a look at the most important question of the season: If you had to play NBA Jam with one duo from Gonzaga history, who would it be? We tackle all this and more on the season's final episode of Free Ira Brown, THE Gonzaga Hoops Podcast. Do close down the season with us, won't you?
