The Euroleague Basketball Company announced its All-Eurocup First and Second teams today, and Kevin Pangos was one of the ten players honored with a spot, earning a place on the Second team. Pangos has only played professional basketball for one season, but he's already making his presence felt in Europe where he played for Gran Canaria of Spain.
As a rookie, Pangos averaged 11.9ppg and 4.8rpg while helping Gran Canaria reach the semifinals of the Eurocup. It's not an easy task to move to a new continent and learn how to play with an entirely new group of players while being a rookie in professional basketball. That Pangos has succeeded under these circumstances, however, probably doesn't come as a surprise to Gonzaga fans who watched him lead some of the best Zag teams in the history of the program.
Congrats to @KPangos on being named 2nd Team All Eurocup. Terrific accomplishment for a rookie at that level.
