2016 McDonald's All-American Game: Time, tv schedule, and how to watch online

A Gonzaga recruit will be showing off in this game.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

For the first time ever, you might want to tune into the McDonald's All American Game on Wednesday, because for the first time ever, Gonzaga has an incoming recruit playing in the game. Incoming big man Zach Collins will hit the floor for the West Team as the first All-American Gonzaga has ever recruited.

Of course, he isn't the first All-American to be playing for the Zags. Kyle Wiltjer did rather nicely in his two seasons and has that McDonald's notch under his belt. But Collins is the first Gonzaga player we will get to watch on that big screen in Chicago.

The question is how much of Collins game will shine in the All-American game. Collins is a much more fundamentally sound center, less known for his flashy play and more his sound footwork. There is a tendency for that skillset to go a bit unnoticed in the McDonald's All-American Game, because most of the time the game operates like an All-Star game should--lots and lots of flash.

With Gonzaga out of the tournament, all eyes are on the next year, and Collins will be a big piece of that puzzle.
