- John Blanchette of The Spokesman-Review was complimentary of Kyle Dranginis following the game against USF.
- As mentioned here earlier today, Joe Lunardi's latest bracketology lists Gonzaga as a #10 seed in the West Region. This iteration of the bracket would place them in Oklahoma City with an opening matchup against the Texas Longhorns, and a potential rematch with the Texas A&M Aggies in the next round.
- There will be a lot of bracket/bubble watching over the next few weeks, Eamonn Brennan kicks off the return of ESPN's bubble watch. Here's what he said about Gonzaga, whom he lists in his "Work to do" category:
Gonzaga [17-5 (9-2), RPI: 72, SOS: 118] Among the reasons the Gaels don't have a quality win to their name? Gonzaga's unusual sabbatical from being Gonzaga. Usually, the Zags are tightening their stranglehold over the WCC and preserving their preferred see, at this time of year. In 2015-16, however, they've lost to UCLA, BYU and Arizona on their own floor and claim Washington, Connecticut and Pepperdine (which is on the edge) as their only top-100 wins. If the tourney were today, we're not sure how Mark Few's team would get in. Losing center Przemek Karnowski to injury was killer, but the Zags' guard play has been an even worse problem all season. Even with an obvious and sensible basketball explanation at hand, this feels weird.
- NBC Sports keeps up the Bracket Banter with their own projected tournament field. Gonzaga makes their bracket as a #11 seed in the East region facing off against Louisville.
- SB Nation's own bracket lists us as a #11 seed, with a projected matchup against Dayton.
- Kyle Wiltjer was named the WCC's Player of the Week. This is the second time he's earned the honor this season.
- Speaking of Wiltj, you can listen to Tom Hudson call all seven(!) of his three-pointers against Santa Clara here.
- SWX chatted with our trio of transfers who are currently sitting out this season, and covered topics from what they're doing to improve their games to the fashionable styles they're always flashing on the bench during games.
- Incoming recruit Zach Norvell speaks after his Chicago-based Simeon squad's big win over local rival Morgan Park High School. Norvell starts around the 1:20 mark. He finished the game with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
- You can also hear from Zach Collins as he discusses Bishop Gorman's win over national power Findlay Prep.
- Tough weekend in the Bay Area for the Lady Zags as they dropped their games at Santa Clara and at USF.
