The Gonzaga Bulldogs take on the Pacific Tigers on Thursday night, the first game of the last two-game home stand of the year.
Last time around, Gonzaga beat Pacific, 71-61, for the sixth-straight time. Wiltjer scored 23 points in the contest and Sabonis snared 20 rebounds.
The Zags, of course, are coming off of a loss to SMU on Saturday. Unfortunately, for the Tigers, the Zags haven't lost back-to-back games since February 2014, against BYU and San Diego. The Bulldogs have won their past 10 games following a loss. What bodes even worse for the Tigers--Gonzaga has won those 10 games by an average of 23.4 points.
The Tigers have had a rough go-round this year. Head coach Ron Verlin was suspended in December because of alleged academic misconduct, and interm coach Mike Burns had to step in. Pacific opened up the year 1-8, but has played 6-9 ball over their last 15 games.
