Gonzaga vs. Washington game highlights and interviews

This one was an absolute walloping.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs absolutely dismantled the Washington Huskies on Wednesday night, 98-71. The final score isn’t too indicative of how out of control this game got early on for Washington.

Gonzaga stormed out to an early lead, leading by nearly 30 with eight minutes to go in the first half thanks to a combination of torrid shooting and abysmal Washington defense. The Zags couldn’t miss a shot they took, but they also had plenty of lanes open to run through.

Uber wonderkid Markelle Fultz finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds, but he also attempted 26 shots in the process. As a team, the Huskies had an eFG of 33.5 percent, and you just can’t win games when you shoot that poorly.

“It couldn’t have been any more fun, it couldn’t have gone any better,” said Nigel Williams-Goss after the game, and he was exactly right. Gonzaga showed up to play the rivalry game, and made it as lopsided as possible.
