It has been nearly a decade since the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Washington Huskies ended their relationship. The timing was a bit weird. The Gonzaga Bulldogs had won nine of the ten previous meetings. Huskies coach Lorenzo Romar said he wanted higher profile opponents (aka the game to not be on ROOT Sports). What we witnessed for the next ten years was a whole lot of sniping and politics, but not a lot of basketball.
Finally, that is all over. Tonight, the Washington Huskies will roll into Spokane. Next year, the Gonzaga Bulldogs will roll into Seattle. Everything has finally been made right again. We've done plenty of coverage on the game. Here is our game preview, and if you need to find out how to watch it, click here. UW Dawg Pound was kind enough to answer some of our questions about the Huskies, and we answered some of their's about Gonzaga. Finally, we took a look at how to slow down UW's phenom freshman Markelle Fultz (hint: you don't).
Most of all, even more so than normal, go Zags!
