What’s that sound? Do you hear what I hear? Sounds like some caroling:
“Have yourself a merry little podcast. Set your ears alight. From now on Huge Piece will keep us of sight…”
Now imagine the guys from Free Ira Brown singing it. No! Wait! Come back! We’ll stop! We’ll stop.
It’s just that, dear FIBbers, the holidays have us rocking around the Karnowski because, you see, after watching Gonzaga send Washington home for a blue Christmas, our heroes simply couldn’t help but scream, “joy to the world!”
We’ve got all the details from that holy night, plus we deck the polls, Nigel gets an award in his stocking and…is there a Christmas song for schadenfreude? Schadenfreudey the Snowman? Feliz Schadenfreude? Anyway, we spend some time enjoying THEM getting thumped by Texas Arlington (At home!! When they were 15-point favorites!!). Which may or may not have led to Chris getting fairly excitable. (Feliz Schadenfreude! Feliz Schadenfreude….)
We’re also introduced to what will surely become a new holiday classic: “Akron Got Run Over by a Karno” before we preview the weekend’s only game in Tennessee (surely it won’t be a Volly Jolly Christmas, right?)
And finally, we end with our most festive and musical of Top 3s.
All this and more on the latest episode of Free Ira Brown, THE Gonzaga Hoops Podcast. Do come sing with us, won’t you. It’s the most wonderful time of year, after all.
