Just a week ago, we did a short feature (click here to read) on the next big European prospect on Gonzaga's radar. Nearly a week after his trip to Spokane, Killian Tillie made his commitment to the Zags and reinforced the frontcourt for the future.
As we mentioned in the initial article, Tillie has the versatility and athleticism that will remind some fans of Elias Harris. However, the one big distinction is that Tillie is a more versatile prospect on the perimeter and has the potential to stretch out the defense like Kyle Wiltjer. One of the appealing things about the French prospect is that he is still very early in his development, as he only recently committed to dedicating his focus to basketball.
This commitment was a huge coup for the Gonzaga staff, as they were able to beat out Utah, where Tillie's older brother played. The staff has been recruiting the French forward for nearly two years, and there is a ton of excitement around how he can pair with Zach Collins and Johnathan Williams III.
We will have more on this commitment in the coming days.
