With four scholarships to fill this year, the Gonzaga coaching staff is on their annual search for the best talent in the world. In typical Zags fashion, Tommy Lloyd has another exciting European prospect on the radar in Killian Tillie.
The talented French power forward has been a key priority for the Zags for the past two years, with the INSEP product being a guy the staff believes could be the next in the line of productive European forwards to end up in Spokane. Gonzaga has obviously had great success with athletic big men from outside the country, with guys like Ronny Turiaf, Elias Harris and Domas Sabonis each making a huge impact on the program.
In terms of the type of impact he could have on the court, Tillie has a skill set very similar to current Zag, Kyle Wiltjer. Tillie has the versatility to score from all over the court and is also an excellent athlete. He has a skill set that really compliments current #zagclass16 member, Zach Collins. The two actually played against each other at the FIBA 3X3 World Championships, with Tillie's French team winning the Bronze Medal.
Prior to this trip to Spokane, Tillie visited both Georgia Tech and Utah. The current plan is for the French star to arrive in Spokane from his trip to Utah, with his official visit occurring over the weekend. We will keep everyone updated on where things stand following the visit.
