After an outstanding four years at Gonzaga, as well as a strong summer league performance with the Dallas Mavericks, Kevin Pangos finally knows where he will begin his professional basketball career:
Better brush up on my Spanish... Excited to announce I'll be playing for Gran Canaria next season!
— Kevin Pangos (@KPangos) July 24, 2015
This should be a great opportunity for Pangos, who has the skill set to be a perfect fit with the European game. While he struggled with his shot during the NBA Summer League, he was still able to contribute with nearly 5 assists per game.
This season, Gran Canaria will be in the top division of Spanish basketball, the Spanish ACB, which is routinely considered the second best basketball league in the world. They will also be taking part in the Eurocup competition. Last season, Gran Canaria finished 8th in the Spanish ACB, with an 18-18 record.
