The most sought after transfer of the offseason is off the board to the Louisville Cardinals as Damon Lee will head to play for Rick Pitino.  This news comes on the heels of Kansas State transfer Marcus Foster selecting Creighton over Gonzaga and others so it has definitely been a tough start to the transfer season for Mark Few's staff which is looking to bring in an instant impact guard to solidify what will be a very different backcourt for next season.

As the most highly regarded transfer of the offseason, Gonzaga was battling with Louisville as well as Arizona and other high profile programs so this was going to be a tough commitment to get but it was definitely worth the effort as Lee has the potential to be a high double-digit point scorer next season.

At this time, there doesn't appear to be any immediately eligible transfers on Gonzaga's radar.  Foster and Lee were the two main ones and both have elected to carry on their college careers at other schools.  The Zags are still in the mix for NIgel Williams-Goss (Washington) and Johnathan Williams III (Missouri) but both have to sit out this coming season as they have not yet graduated.

There will likely be other names popping up in the 2015 class but as far as the backcourt is concerned, the main target is Federico Mussini, an Italian point guard that is also considering St. John's as well as the Zags.  Mussini would be a very solid get that could play as a freshman but definitely won't be expected to have the output of a Lee or Foster.
