The Gonzaga Bulldogs will make one final trip to Pullman, Washington, to take on the Washington State Cougars on Wednesday. The two teams first played each other on Dec. 16, 1907.
Mark Few reportedly told WSU coach Ernie Kent that the Zags most likely won't play the Cougars next season. Washington State owns the all-time series record 98-51, but as of late, it has been all about Gonzaga. The Bulldogs have won the matchup four years in a row and 13 of the last 16 meetings.
Granted, Washington State has fallen on some hard times as of late, and GU is always looking for top-notch games in the non-conference schedule. But it would have been nicer to see a team like Mount St. Mary's or Northern Arizona be the sacrificial lamb. Such is life in modern college hoops I guess.
Now, on to what matters.
