This Week in Zag Tweets: November 1 - 7, 2015

The new season is just hours away (who cares if it's an exhibition) and we're wrapping up what turned out to be quite the week for Gonzaga basketball. We'll have game film to watch soon enough, but for now, let's look at the highlights in the Twittersphere.

It has been quite the week!

For starters, we found out the Zags will start the season in the top 10 of the AP Poll. Never a bad spot to start a college basketball season.

Also, despite being Canadian, Kyle Wiltjer is an All-American... and just in case you didn't hear, Mark Few and co. landed a big time recruit in Chicago shooting guard Zach Norvell.  It's the second Zach of the recruiting class, a category (# of Zachs) in which the Zags currently lead the nation, I think.

The Zags get ready for an exhibition against Eastern Oregon tonight at 5 p.m. (or 8 p.m. for you east-coasters out there).  We're finally going to see what's being hyped as one of the best front courts in college basketball and we'll begin to answer some questions about the back court.

Meanwhile, Pitt is setting its sights on Gonzaga for next week’s Armed Forces Classic in Okinawa. Under Jamie Dixon, Pitt has had the perennial reputation as one of the toughest teams in college hoops.  It will definitely make for a fun start to the season and set the tone heading into the Battle 4 Atlantis later this month.

Lineups are set, media days are done, and another season of Gonzaga Basketball is upon us!
