Norvell is a four-star shooting guard from Chicago, and a former teammate of Jabari Parker. He is rated as one of the top shooting guards in the state of Illinois and is a top-100 ranked recruit in the Class of 2016.
The 6'4 guard visited Gonzaga on Sept. 11. The Zags beat out Iowa State, Georgetown and Florida State for Novell's services. The staff was assisted by former Zag great Jeremy Pargo, who according to Norvell, gave rather rousing renditions of his experience as a Bulldog.
Norvell is known for his quickness on the open floor, and his ability to quickly shoot three-pointers. He has watched his stock increase dramatically as of late, especially after a 53 point performance in July. In the game, Norvell knocked down 14 three-pointers, despite a lingering ankle injury.
He joins Zach Collins and Killian Tillie as the recruiting class of 2016 is starting to shape up nicely.
