The Gonzaga Bulldogs open up their season against the Pittsburgh Panthers as part of a long, glorious day of college basketball. The Zags travelled all the way to Okinawa to take part in ESPN's Armed Forces Classic.
The long, dark wait of the summer and the offseason of college basketball is finally over. Now we have months of a bright, sun-filled winter chalk full of Gonzaga basketball. Expectations are running quite high this year, so it'll be nice to see the Zags face a test against Pittsburgh to open the whole season.
Because the Zags are in Japan, this start time is a bit early. In fact, the only other game with a more annoying start-time would be the Bahamas based game against the University of Washington the day before Thanksgiving. Soon, we will be into our nice and easy prime-time starts.
4:00 pm PT
The Gonzaga-Pitt game, listed at 4 PST, now expected to tip off at 4:40.
