There has been plenty of movement over the past few days in the 2014 class. Since we last updated you, Gonzaga has shown serious interest in or has offered three new prospects. As we hoped, the staff is targeting several positions and is looking at some supremely talented kids. Lets take a look at some of the high level news:

New Faces (More In The Table Below):

Iziahiah Sweeney - 6'2'' Wing Prospect From Compton, CA

Brekkott Chapman - 6'8'' Forward From Roy, Utah

Andre Adams - 6'8'' Forward From Avondale, AZ

Point Guards

Collier and Perkins are still the main two options here. With Graham Woodward not in the works for 2013, it will be interesting to see if this list grows or if the staff elects to wait until 2015 to nab a point guard.

Dominique Collier Denver, CO

HS: Denver East
AAU: KC Pump N' Run
Rivals:

ESPN:
4 Star
Colorado, Kansas State, Stanford, Iowa 10/11: The staff went out to see Collier this fall but interest is still pretty new at this point. 25%. Collier is a great option at point, just depends if the staff views it as a need in '14.

Josh Perkins Denver, CO

HS: Regis Jesuit
AAU: Colorado Miners
Rivals:
4 Star
Scout:
4 Star
ESPN:
4 Star
Colorado, Arizona, ASU, SDSU, Stanford, USC, Wake Forest 10/11: Like Collier, this interest is pretty new so we will see if anything materializes. 25%. See above.

Combo Guards

The Bryan Alberts category. Alberts visited in mid-October and seemed to have a great time; such a great time in fact that it seemed like he might commit. Based on what we can tell, a commit hasn't happened yet but things are looking great.

Wisconsin, Oregon State, UW, WSU, Georgetown, Northwestern, etc. 10/23: By all accounts, Albert had a great visit in October. 90%. The staff has made him a priority and, should the pursuit continue, very confident Alberts will be a Zag.

Wings

The next couple categories have gotten very busy and what is exciting is that each guy seems to be more talented than the next. As we pointed out above, the newest member to this group is Iziahiah Sweeney from Compton. In a recent Scout piece, Sweeney said the Zags were standing out so we will definitely keep an eye on him.

Donaven Dorsey Lacey, WA

HS: Timberline
AAU: Team Mocha

UW, WSU, Cal, Oregon State 10/11: Zags have come onto Dorsey strong lately. Few and Giacoletti went to see him in mid-October. 65%. At this point, Dorsey seems like a big priority and would fill a big need as an athletic wing.

Isaiah Bailey Compton, CA

Arizona, ASU, SDSU, UCLA, UNLV, USC 10/11: Bailey was recently offered by the Zags and the staff went down and met with him in the fall. 33%. New interest that we don't know much about. Bailey is likely prime to blow up this season in CA.

Versatile 4/3 Forwards

Brekkott Chapman is the new name here. The exciting prospect from Utah has garnered plenty of attention recently. The Zags have absolutely targeted this position as one of need in 2014 and it will be interesting to see how many prospects they seriously pursue.

Athletic Bigs

We are all familiar with Okonoboh but Andre Adams is a guy that popped up this month and is very intriguing. Make no mistake, he will about as tough to get as Okonoboh will be as he touts numerous high major offers.

Scholarship Situation (Click Here For The Chart): Assuming Gonzaga does not sign any more prospects in the 2013 class does not have any defections or transfers in, the staff will have 6 scholarships to play with. Players on scholarship for the 2014-15 class will be Guards: Gary Bell, Kevin Pangos, Gerard Coleman (all seniors), Kyle Dranginis (JR), Forward: Lucas Meikle (2nd Year), and Centers: Przemek Karnowski (JR), & Ryan Edwards (2nd Year).
