Anxiety is the feeling most people have when they hear the phrase "off the court news".  That said, every now and then there is some good news to report off the court and today is one of those days for Gonzaga.  Graduate transfer Drew Barham has been nominated to the prestigious NABC Allstate Good Works Team.  Barham is 1 of 117 male nominees for the award which recognizes college basketball student-athletes who have made significant contributions off the court through volunteerism or civic service.

Most people in the Spokane community are aware of what Barham does off the court as he participates in various community service groups.  A few of these groups are St. Jude Hospital, Toys For Tots, Haven Special Needs Camp's Special Olympics, and Youth for Christ ministry for children.  In addition to all that service work, Barham is a graduate student and a key member of the rotation for the Zags this year.

Later this year, an impressive panel of judges, led by Grant Hill, will take the list of 117 nominees and trim it down to 10.  Those 10 members will be invited to the 2014 NABC Convention and the 2014 Men's Final Four in Dallas.  In Dallas, they will participate in a community event benefiting the city.
