The 2013-14 Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball season gets underway on Saturday as the Zags play host to the Bryant Bulldogs.
On the home Bulldog front, after a year of deferring to the frontcourt, it is time for Kevin Pangos to truly take over the team. He'll hopefully be joined by a healthy Gary Bell, Sam Dower and Przemek Karnoswki to be the constant force for the season. After that, the rotation is a bit up in the air. Providence transfer Gerard Coleman figures to be a big player for minutes, but there will definitely be room for Kyle Dranginis, Drew Barham and David Stockton.
Speaking of Drew Barham, as Jim Meehan with the Spokesman Review reported, his availability for the opening night is up in the air after tweaking his knee in practice. One thing is for sure, freshman center Ryan Edwards will miss both tonight and Monday after having his tonsils removed.
GU senior forward Drew Barham, who tweaked his right knee in practice last week, has been able to practice the last few days.
