The previews are coming from all different angles and the frat house collection of writers over at CBS Sports have decided to unleash hell on the Internet with a plethora of college basketball previews and prognostications. Here are a couple of the highlights:
In which Matt Norlander makes me shudder:
I think Harris is a top-25 player, but it's because I fell long ago and don't know how to stop sending late-night text messages. I'm probably putting too much stock into Harris' game at this point; he's regressed, undeniably, from what we thought he'd be at the end of 2010. -- M.N.
In my opinion, Harris played his best basketball ever at Gonzaga during the second half of last season and turned into a double-double machine. The world fell in love with Harris as a freshman because of his offense and athleticism but it is the rounding out of the rest of his game that could help the Zags go deep in March.
Preseason Expert Picks (Final Four, Champion, etc)
Well it didn't take long to get here. Both Jeff Goodman and Matt Norlander of CBS Sports project the Zags to be a Final Four team. Before we get the "how stupid is this, it's all about matchups" comment...I know....but it is still pretty cool to see. For a team many have slated in the back end of the Top 25, it does seem like national writers are expecting the Zags to gel and make some moves down the stretch.
