Kraziness In The Kennel: Olynyk Held Out

We were hoping to discuss how some of the new guys looked today at Kraziness In The Kennel but, unfortunately, the storyline from today's event was the fact that Kelly Olynyk was not participating.

The redshirt junior forward from Canada is apparently battling an "unresolved issue overseen by student life" per an official Gonzaga release. Zag fans were anxiously awaiting the return of Kelly as he sat out last season.

At this time, it isn't worth speculating on the issue but since it is an internal issue with student life, I am guessing it is nothing too severe. Either way, I'm sure this was not the way Kelly was hoping to come back following his redshirt season. He is already battling for major time in the rotation as the Bulldogs tout a deep front court with Sam Dower, Elias Harris, and newcomer Przemek Karnowski.

We will continue to monitor the situation with Kelly and update you as any further developments come across.

Other than the Olynyk drama, it sounds like Kraziness was a fun event. Gerard Coleman apparently was outstanding and other standouts included Gary Bell, Drew Barham, and Sam Dower.
