After losing out on Demarquise Johnson, the coaching staff has moved into the junior college ranks in hopes to land their coveted wing prospect. Darrious Curry, a 6'7'' small forward currently at Casper College in Wyoming seems to be front and center on the minds of Mark Few and Co.
As we have covered before, Curry is a former member of the West Virginia Mountaineers. While preparing for his freshman season, Curry was unable to get medically cleared and left Morgantown. While there was a fear that his career would be permanently ended, Curry is back in action and drawing the interest of many high major programs.
Last night, Mark Few ventured down to Casper to check out Darrious. The JUCO prospect finished with 21 points on 9-17 from the floor and also grabbed 8 rebounds. Casper lost the game last night but it sounds like Curry had an oustanding game. He is currently being courted by programs such as Nebraska, Washington State, Colorado, Auburn, Texas Tech and Wichita State.
