Should Kent fail to survive this season, expect the obvious for rumored replacement candidates, starting with Gonzaga's Mark Few (an Oregon alumnus) and Portland State's Ken Bone (100 miles away and cheaper).

A very interesting ranking of student sections in college basketball. Apparently the University of Washington has a better student section than Gonzaga and the best in the Pac-10...I feel like Oregon would have something to say about that...CollegeHoopsNet
8. Gonzaga - Bulldog fans have one notable trademark: "Support the ‘Stache." This of course refers to ‘Zags great Adam Morrison who sported the pencil-thin mustache. Students honor him by wearing fake mustaches to all home games. Students also live up to their Jesuit academic reputation by doing thorough research on the opposition, checking GPA, police records, etc. to come up with original chants against their WCC brethren.

No doubt in anyone's mind about who the WCC Coach of the Year will be...Mercury News
Scanning the WCC standings last night and seeing Portland alone in second place … one game behind Gonzaga, one game ahead of St. Mary’s and two games ahead of San Diego … it occurred to me that Pilots Coach Eric Reveno is the top candidate for WCC Coach of the Year honors.

If Gonzaga is going to be stopped from winning an eighth consecutive West Coast Conference regular-season title, it appears the only team capable of that might be Portland. The Pilots are a game behind the Zags after routing Saint Mary's Saturday.
