While I was very surprised that Dower and Stockton both didn't get taken in the 2nd Round, I feel a little bit of justice that both Stockton and Dower have signed on to play in the Summer League. While most of us thought that Stockton would get taken mid-to late 2nd Round, it is very good to hear that David has just signed on to play for the Suns summer league squad while Dower has signed on to play with the Trail Blazers. I feel like many people here feel vindicated in their season-long support of Stockton, afterall, not everyone gets invited to play in the Summer League. On the other hand, some people here will be totally perplexed or credit Stockton's Summer League contract to the success of his father, which is totally unfair. I've always felt that David passed the ball well enough and was a smart enough player to possibly break in as the 3rd PG on an NBA roster, I also feel like David Stockton might have been one of the most competitive Zag players that I have ever seen. So I expect him to keep improving.
Dower's contract probably doesn't come as a big surprise to anyone as he has been considered a fringe NBA prospect for the near entirety of his Zag career. Nonetheless, I am very happy for both Sam and David and hope that they land on an NBA roster by season's start.
