I know it's been stated ad nauseam that we currently have no scholarships available to Malek Harris or Byron Wesley. But that's not necessarily true. As many know it's is up to the schools discretion whether to renew a scholarship every year. Having said that, if Gonzaga is able to land Byron Wesley, what are the chances Mark Few calls Gerard Coleman into his office to tell him that it "just isn't working out"? I'm not saying it's going to happen or even likely to happen, but it has happened before in Division 1 basketball and conceivably it could happen with Coleman. I'm not trying to make anyone the bad guy here, I'm just wondering how often this happens in college basketball? It just seemed strange that we're recruiting two different positions with no scholarships to give out at the moment. I just wonder if Mark Few has it in him to call in Luke Meikle and say "Idaho would probably be a better fit for you if you want playing time, so were going to bring in somebody else that is a better fit for the program." Maybe I'm being way off-base, maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm just curious about the inner-workings of a high level Division 1 basketball program.
