Why I'm ecstatic about the 2014-2015 season

This is going to be a top 10 team, period!! I believe it will be hard to find a team as skilled and experienced as ours in the entire country. Going back in Zag history, It's hard to remember a team having so many skilled, talented and experienced players.

Considering Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell played about as bad as they can possibly play last season, I expect them both to markedly improve and form one of the top backcourts in the entire country. This team will transform into elite with a healthy and improved Pangos and Bell. I can totally see Pangos being super-motivated after his very frustrating year and becoming either a 1st or 2nd team All-American.

Kyle Dranginis is flat out a better basketball player than David Stockton. With our super-small lineup a thing of the past, Kyle Dranginis will develop into a very solid wing capable of hitting a spot up 3 and playing pesky defense. Kyle just doesn't hurt this team anywhere, he is a much better rebounder and defender than Stockton, which will ease the burden on Karnowski and hopefully alleviate some of his foul trouble. This will also help our floor spacing with 4 guys capable of efficiently knocking down the 3.

Kyle Wiltjer proves to be a more talented and skilled player than Sam Dower and develops into the next Ryan Kelly. Considering he was already highly skilled before coming here, I think the Flex offense will be taylor-made for Kyle's game, in contrast with Kentucky's dribble drive offense which frustrated Kyle, the flex will give him plenty of options to handle the ball on the perimeter. I can see Kyle giving Gary and Kevin a run for their money in 3 point percentage and total makes, I think this guy can easily average 15 a game.

Karnowski- Already having proved himself as an elite Center in the tournament he will continue to build upon on his March successes. He will come in better conditioned and with an improved stroke from the charity stripe and also the ability to stay on the court 28 minutes a game.

When it's all said and done, I can't imagine us being any worse than a 4 seed.
