Newest San Antonio Spur lights up the 76ers for 22 pts

Former Zag Austin Daye shot 6-10 from behind the arc leading the Spurs in scoring Monday night for an easy win against Philly. Daye also grabbed 6 Rebounds, 2 Steals, 2 blocks and an assist. This was the 13th win in a row for the Spurs while Philly has lost their last 24 in a row on their quest to get the most Ping-Pong balls in the Draft Lottery. Daye is the second former WCC player to lead the Spurs in scoring as Patty Mills has done so en route to becoming an important role player off the Spurs bench. Mills scored 15 in the win. In addition to Daye and Mills, the Spurs have an additional West Coast Player, former WSU Cougar Aron Baynes contributing off the bench.

As a long time Spurs fan (since the red, white and blue basketball days--that's why I am OLD zag fan), it is great to see some WCC talent make contributions. I hope Austin can do what Mills has done and become an important cog in the Spurs machine.
