Last night was a thing of beauty! To watch St Marys suffer a loss like that on senior night no less was just the best! I will be the first to admit that the last two wins were against lesser opponents, but to be hitting on all cylinders going into the post season make me very happy. If they can take the tournament title, they just might end up with a decent seed. Many teams are dropping of the pace a bit. I do fear San Diego. They(Pangos) has a tough time matching up and keep that little water bug of a guard Anderson in front of them. His dribble drive penetration opens it up for them. Overall I'm very happy with the season. They dropped a couple that they shouldn't have, but overall not too bad. They played some good teams short handed and posted a twenty plus win season. Right now Gonzaga's strength of schedule is a 100 even. Last season is was 96 at seasons end. It's not that big of a drop off. I know that many would and will disagree, but this has been a decent season. I'm a glass half full type guy. To lose a seven foot All-Amercan in KO, Harris a four year starter that was first team All-WCC, Mike Hart defensive player of the year, and Guy Landry Edi, a part time starter. That's loosing 37.4 points a game and 20.7 boards. With all the injuries and illnesses and that loss of that much talent, I would have to say this has been a good season. The season is far from over, and hopefully they are hitting their stride.
