Saw this article today: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24479936/loyola-marymount-hires-mike-dunlap-as-new-head-coach
I was kind of shocked when I saw it. I never even heard that Max was fired. I knew that Max Good's team had struggled, and I don't disagree with changing the coach, but I was caught off guard. Also with a new hire only a day after firing Max, it shows that they were planning this for a while. I guess the new coach, Mike Dunlap, has a lot of experience (college and NBA) and is a Loyola Alumni. I wonder if he is a good coach or can he recruit? I also wonder what the future holds for Loyola?
What do you guys think of Max's firing and Dunlap's hiring? How long will it take for the new coach to make a difference? Will Loyola become a power house or scraping the bottom of the barrel still? I don't like watching the NBA, so does anybody know how good of a NBA coach he was?
