I have to say there is no excuse for tonight's performance against San Diego. Considering they just got beat by BYU, where was the energy from this team including it's coach?
Once again Pangos played on the road like he's a freshman. And somewhere around the 6 minute mark in the second half down by 6 or 7 Few calls a timeout and the huddle is completely listless. There was no energy from the players on the floor (except Dower) and Few was totally complacent. Feel free Mark to get revved up and call your players out for their lack of effort. Can you tell me another player who out worked their opponent other than Dower?
Right now this team is starring the NIT square in the face. I understand Few might be a victim of his own success, we all expect to make it to the dance every year. But there is no excuse for a lack of effort, especially coming off a loss.
This team is not talented enough to simply show up and win. This team needs to out work their opponents and apparently they left their hard hats in Spokane.
Oh and lastly, I'm so tired of seeing these kids pass up decent looks. I understand the benefit of getting a good look but sometimes you simply need to pull the trigger. It looks like these kids are playing not to lose compared to playing to win. Where is the kid who will hit you with a crossover and pull up and bury a J right in you face?
