COLEMAN > STOCKTON....PERIOD!

For starters, by no stretch of the imagination did I really believe that Gonzaga was going to win this game. The fact of the matter most of the Zags were brutal tonight, they once again got killed off the boards, GBJ couldn't hit a shot to save his life and they were beyond sloppy with the ball. Losing comes with the territory with a 31 game schedule...However what is a truly tiresome, boring and nauseating act on Few's part is the overusage of the likes of stockton, barham over coleman. Gonzaga (for the time being) is ranked the 25th best team in the country, there is not 1 other team in that top 25 David Stockton would start for. Not one! The facts are he is an undersized guard who can't shoot, for the most part cannot effectively penetrate, is cavalier with the ball, as evidenced by his 6 turnovers tonight and is consistently punished by bigger and more physical guards.....No, Gerard Coleman is no saving grace, he is a suspect defender, can be reckless with the ball, however that being said he is unequivocally better than David Stockton. We all saw tonight when coleman was given extensive minutes in the first half, how dynamic he can be with attacking the rim. Yes, I'm well aware of the same old horseshit arguments "we are not there in practice" "we are not the coaches"...blah..blah...blah...its old and tiresome...Coleman is better than Stockton, period. Remove his last name and there is no way David makes this roster. None! How a big east transfer that avg over 13 pts per game gets less playing time than an overprivelege walk on is beyond asinine. And to you BCS bashers, guess what, yes any guy who avgs double digits in points in a power conference, is automatically better than David Stockton and merits more minutes per game than David. Few's job is to understand and maximize the assets he has, and to acknowledge the limitations of those very same assets. In respect to Stockton and Coleman, he is clearly failing the team. This is a moot point we all know that Few is a stubborn mule and is not going to change this late in the season. If I were Coleman I would be beyond livid and seriously consider transferring yet again. In summation I believe I speak on behalf of Zag nation, that we can accept losing, however everyone would stomach it a lot better if we lost by taking our best shot, which means having the right personnel in the game. We know what we are getting out of the likes of Stockton and Barham, which are flawed players, that lack play making ability, and are subpar defenders and athletes. What we don't know is how the team would respond long term in the game if we had the likes of GC getting 30 plus minutes a game. I guess we'll never know
