Now that we are in February and are coming down the stretch for the regular season, the question is how we will finish and how that finish will impact our seeding in the the big dance. So I pose the question to the experts. Of course, running the table would be great and we will admit that we think it won't happen, although we will secretly wish for that outcome. Taking that option off the table, which of the following outcomes would help our situation the most; sweeping the BYU/St. Mary's road trip (I know we don't play them the same week but you get my meaning) or splitting those conference games and getting a road win at Memphis? Two weeks ago, I would have said unequivocally that the Memphis win option was the best but with the Tiger's recent problems I'm no longer sure. Their RPI is the higher of the three but BYU seems to have better wins. Does SMC' s recent two-game losing streak impact this? I'm still thinking that the high profile win is more important right now and I think a loss to one of those conference teams would not be seen as a bad loss. How does everyone see this? Feel free to share if you see a totally different set of circumstances being the best for our tournament seeding. GO ZAGS!!!
