ESPN's man crush on Steve Lavin

This weekend my son & his wife were home. They were married in August, so this was her first major holiday with the in-laws. I did what any self-respecting father-in-law would do … … I introduced her to Gonzaga basketball. She has never watched college basketball, so this was all new to her. As the St John’s game progressed she commented about how Steve Lavin must be one of the best ever coaches ever since ESPN spent so much time with the camera focused on him. At first it was amusing to see him in his fancy suit … … then it got annoying. After the game was over and everyone went to bed I watched the game again. This is going to sound stupid, but I actually did this: I counted the number of times the camera focused on Lavin vs Few. Here are the final numbers: Lavin and/or their bench was shown 31 times for a total of 5 minutes and 46 seconds. Few & the Zags were shown 6 times for a total of 30 seconds. What is it with the ESPN’s fascination with east coast teams? I am sure that it was a huge disappointment to them that St John’s did not win. Are the Zags ever going to get any respect?
